Moreover, in 1966, he was academically not eligible because of basketball, so the team moved in the following year, which was 1967, from Division II up to Division I.

And in this same year, Frazier did a lot of work on the team that helped them win the National Invitation Tournament with a 71-56 victory over Marquette University (1967).
